High-impact releases for BTC, USD over the next 7 days, in server time (GMT+3). Dots on the 1D and 5D charts mark recent releases.
BTCUSDPERP gives you exposure to Bitcoin priced in US dollars through a perpetual contract: no delivery date, no rollover and no overnight swap. The contract size, minimum and maximum order size, volume step and price step are shown in the specifications above.
The contract stays anchored to the Bitcoin market through funding. Three times a day, at the funding times shown in the specifications above, a funding rate is set; positions open at that moment pay or receive position value multiplied by the rate, booked to the account balance as a separate entry. When the perpetual trades above spot, long positions pay and short positions receive; when it trades below, the direction reverses. A position closed before the funding time pays nothing.
The Bitcoin perpetual trades seven days a week, with one short scheduled break each week reserved for maintenance; the exact hours, in server time, are in the specifications above. Margin, stop loss, take profit and pending orders work exactly as on any other symbol on your MetaTrader 5 account.
The BTCUSD CFD follows the spot market and charges a swap once a day at rollover. The perpetual trades in its own market, anchored to spot by funding three times a day, and carries no swap. Both trade seven days a week, each with its own scheduled weekend break; the contract sizes and exact hours are in each instrument’s specifications.
At each of the three daily funding times shown in the specifications above, and only to positions open at that moment. Open and close between two funding times and no funding applies. A position held for a full day is funded three times.
Yes. When the funding rate is positive, short positions receive; when it is negative, long positions receive. The receiving rate is published alongside the paying rate in the client area.
Seven days a week, with one short scheduled break each week; the exact hours, in server time, are in the specifications above. Open positions and pending orders are untouched during the break.
Margin follows your account group and is shown on this page, on the Margin schedule page and in the symbol specification inside the trading platform, which prevails over any figure on this site.
