Techniques that exploit a defect in pricing, connectivity or margin, such as latency arbitrage or dealing on stale or erroneous quotes, are prohibited under clause 14.1 of the Client Agreement.
Separately, clause 14.2 lets us restrict or apply different terms to high-frequency trading, latency-sensitive strategies and strategies that depend on holding positions for very short durations. If you are unsure whether a strategy is allowed, ask us before you run it.
Yes. Standard, Pro and Zero all allow Expert Advisors, subject to the Client Agreement. Under clause 14.2 we may restrict high-frequency trading, latency-sensitive strategies and strategies that depend on very short holding periods.
Expert Advisors are written in MQL5, a C++-style language built into MetaTrader 5. MetaEditor, the built-in development environment, includes a debugger, a code profiler and documentation.
Execution is automatic; no person intervenes in your order. We do not requote, slippage is symmetric, and typical execution is 25–50 ms. Execution speed is typical, not guaranteed.
Yes. The MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester supports multi-threaded backtesting, forward testing and genetic optimisation across timeframes, using historical data.
