The expiry date is the date on which a dated instrument, such as a futures CFD, ends. At GCC Brokers a position still open at expiry is closed automatically at our quoted price. There is no rollover and no physical delivery, and if expiry falls on a non-business day, or a day the underlying market is closed, it moves to the preceding business day. Expiry dates are on the futures schedule.
You hold a long gold futures CFD that expires on a Friday. If you have not closed it, it is closed automatically at our quoted price at expiry. To stay exposed, you open a position in the next contract yourself.
